Take simple square tiles and rectangular planks, arrange them in geometric shapes, and you can create an almost endless array of beautiful floor patterns. Chevron flooring, a pattern made by laying planks in a zig-zag, is one of the most popular types of floor patterns.
You can easily tell it’s chevron because the planks have had their ends cut at a 45-degree angle to fit together in a point at the top of each zigzag, resulting in strongly repeating ‘V’ shapes. Choose a chevron floor and you’ll create a look that’s minimal yet striking, reminiscent of traditional interiors yet also very on-trend.
We have two ranges of chevron floors. Choose from Impressive Patterns laminate (4 designs) and Intenso hardwood (2 designs).
Chevron and herringbone are similar but different! Both are repeated geometric patterns, but they’re not quite the same.
A chevron floor is made of planks whose ends have been cut at a 45° angle, so when they’re fitted together you can see clear ‘V’ shapes.
A herringbone floor consists of rectangular planks laid side-to-end for a staggered zig-zag effect.
